This is by far the best trail mix I've made. I love the combination of flavors. The only substitution I would make, when sharing with adults, would be to replace the milk chocolate chips for dark chocolate chips. If you are making this for young children leave the recipe as is. What a treat!

Definitly give this trail mix a try! I love it!! I have made it twice now in a week and I think I might be addicted! I used semi sweet chocolate chips because I prefer dark chocolate. This recipe is a real winner! Mmm.......I am eating it as I type this!

I make this trail mix at least once a week, sometimes more often. I've used the ingredients she used, and I have also improvised. I've changed it up at times by adding differnt ingredients such as cashews, rasins, sunflower seeds, M & M's instead of choc chips and really loved adding cut up dried pineapple.

Loved this trail mix. It was as delicious as it was super easy to put together.
Just wait until the mix is totally cooled before you add in the chocolate chips.

I'm not a big fan of trail mix, but the ingredients here looked good, so I decided to give it a try. It's wonderful. It also makes your house smell delicious! I added some kosher salt (I love the mix of salty with sweet and next time I will add more coconut and do a darker chocolate - the darker the better for me! This was supposed to be an adult snack for my sister-in-law and I , but my 3 yr old got a taste and now she's hooked as well. I will probably make this and package it up cute for Christmas favors. Good stuff!

I loathe coconut, so I added 1/2 a cup of raisins instead. Came out very nice indeed. I will substitute macadamia nuts next to see if that works out equally well.

On it's own, I found this to be very dry and tasteless. It may be good sprinkled on ice cream, though.
