These were very simple and very yummy : Tasted like onion strips I would get at a restaurant. I added some salt to the flour mixture as well as right when they came out of the oil.

I just finished cooking these onion strips today, and they were AWESOME!!!! The batter stayed on the onion strips. I must admit that I was skeptical about making them, due to the fact that I thought the batter would fall off once I started cooking them, but it didn't. I followed the recipe step by step and everyone loved them. Thanks Sunny, Good job.

This was the first time I made these onion strips and we loved them. I watched Sunny on TV as she was making it and the recipe calls for putting the stips in a plastic bag. Sunny put them in a bowl of flour and it worked well for me too. I left them in the buttermilk for a little while and maybe that is why they came out so really great! Thanks Sunny for a wonderful way to prepare these Onion strips.

I love fried onions and these are fantastic. I have failed at just about everything I have tried to deep fry but these worked for me. Maybe it was letting the strips dry for about 10 minutes on a rack before frying. The little hint of spice was really great too. I actually added some baking soda to the flour mixture as well. Not sure whether it changed anything but they turned out really great regardless!
