I thought the salad was a little plain as is, so if you add some other ingredients to it like shallots or thinly sliced cucumber it makes it a little better but this goat cheese...I dont really care for it and even Ina said in the show she doesn't like it, but that when she fries it, it takes on a whole new flavor. It doesnt. And it was kind of a mess to fry and flip without it melting out. It was just ok. But that was because I added other things to the salad...

Definately give this one a try: I used it as a side salad instead of a main salad and it still worked: I used my
own balsamic dressing; the warm goat cheese just makes it: I've used both plain goat cheese and herb varieties and they both work. Thank you Ina, look forward to the new shows in the fall!

Pretty easy to make- and the dressing tastes great, too. I used an organic baby mixed greens- and it was just as pretty as it was tasty!
Really just the salad is enough for a light dinner in itself.
Even my 14 year old daughter loved it- and she had never had goat cheese.

I made this salad for my husband tonight and we both loved it. I couldn't find the champagne vinegar in the store, so I used white wine vinegar. It didn't appear to matter, I LOVED the dressing. Definitely a recipe we'll be using again soon.

This is a mouth watering salad. Easy to make and a different taste to wow your guests or your man. The goat cheese gives the salad a perfect touch. All the ingredients are easy to find at the grocery store.

I liked the idea of making a salad with warm goat cheese medalions(the key is to refregerate them before frying. My dressing was different from Ina's, I added cranberries and walnuts in my recipe.
Everyone liked the salad.

I loved the recipe, but not as elegant as I had hoped it would be. My cheese fell apart.

The cheese was a little hard to work with (make sure it's very chilled but well worth it. The creamyness of the cheese against the tangy dressing was killer! This is a new favorite for me and my boyfriend!
