After reading some of the reviews on this recipe I was a bit concerned about the ingredient list but decided that he is the TV cook and not me and so I should trust him. I made this dish as he designed it and I loved as did my guests! I served it with Robert Irvine's roasted pork loin and some garlic french beans. I enjoyed the flavor and creaminess of the puree.

As a southerner, I have been eating sweet potatoes all my life, but have never had them flavored this way. This recipe was good, but I would be careful of the salt. The recipe calls for two tablespoons of sea salt. I found that to be too much, especially since my chicken broth also contained salt. If I make again, I'll cut back to one tablespoon of salt and if I need more, add just before I puree the potatoes.

I liked the lemon added to the potatoes, but you can adjust that flavor up or down too, I suppose. Give this recipe a try!

I made this with the fish recipe he showcased. It was okay, but I didn't like the lemon taste so I would probably eliminate the lemon altogether and maybe put a little more brown sugar when blending the sweet potatos... maybe even add a smidgen of cinnamon.

The sweet potato puree was wonderful. I always bake my sweet potatoes, then add the brown sugar, but I loved the way the brown sugar and pepper was infused in the sweet potatoes. This recipe is a winner!

I was watching Big Daddy's House while he was making this dish. It looked so good and delicious, I had to try it! It was wonderful and great! I never prepared sweet potato puree with those ingredients. Even the brussel sprouts was delicious.

I made these for Easter Dinner and they were wonderful. I usually make a sweet potato puree that is really sweet and quite delectable. These were completely different. They are somewhat savory which allows them to match with just about any type of meat, fish or poultry. As a matter of fact, I served them with Aaron's prime rib roast which was also out of this world. As with most of Aaron's recipes, it was easy to make and a crowd pleaser.

Loved these! Cut back on the almond extract to 1/4 t. as suggested but otherwise made it as stated. It did take about 1/3 c. of reserved liquid to made it into a puree, but that was fine because it the liquid had an excellent flavor. The pepper really showed through, but we loved them!

This was a great side dish to serve alongside the seared cod. The sweetness and creaminess of the potaoes was truly delectable with the light flavor of the cod. I would definitely recommend this dish as a side to pork. It was very easy to make. I actually didn't have any almond extract on hand but I am sure this would have only made the dish even better. Thanks Aaron. You are a hit! I would love to be a food network star someday :

This recipe has great flavor and zing. I cut the lemon to half a lemon and added a bit more brown sugar during the blend. Also I plated it with a center cut pork chop. The flavors exploded and made a good marriage with the grilled pork. I plan to tevo Aaron's show every week.
