I made this with the fish (though I used tilapia instead of cod, as others did. The almond extract was way too overpowering. I used regular sweet potatoes (not yams as the recipe called for and they didn't look orange at all. My son asked me if they were mashed potatoes! I used a hand blender instead of food processor as I didn't want them quite so runny. I would definitely make these again but I would cut the almond extract in half at least...it was all I could taste. The cod recipe that he made this with was the best! Definitely give that a try.

Creamy, delicious. The best addition to perk up any meal. I eat it these sweet potatoes as a snack. Enhances the flavor of poultry and fish especially salmon and white fish.
Like Joy said, I'd like to see Aaron's program aired more often especially in the evenings. Having him on once on Sunday afternoons is never enough. Stop teasing us FN, give us more Aaron... Don't hold back. He's fantastic and is so deserving.

Why isn't Big Daddy on more?? He has the best recipes!!! They are easy but still very gourmet--like eating in a 5 star restaurant. Give Big Daddy some of the Nealy's air time!!

I never thought about cooking sweet potatoes in chicken broth. I am used to having my sweet potatoes..sweet. However, I precisely followed Aaron's recipe and this was delicious with the cod and Brussel sprouts. WONDERFUL!
THANK YOU Aaron!!!
