I loved the churros i must admit that they were delicious butu the directions didn't say anything about like when it says till it gets golden brown it didn't say how long it would take and i did this for a party i was having but my guest started leaving by the time the churros were ready but the people that stayed to try enjoyed it a lot!!!

DO NOT USE THE WHOLE ORANGE! When my husband took a taste he said it taste like fruit loops. I felt the mix was to runny.

This was fast, yummy and easy. I decided to make desert after dinner for the hockey game. They took 20 minutes and ingredients that most would have on hand. I used lemon instead of orange. I took the mixture off the heat and added to my Kitchen aid. Whisked in my eggs one at a time until the batter was thick and creamy. This took a few minutes to blend. One thing to note. When it comes time to fry MAKE SURE your oil is hot enough. I had it heating for a while but because I started to soon, my first batch in grew very large and when we ate them were full of air. They also took a longer time to brown. The rest came out more dense and tastier. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have a helping hand tossing them in the sugar. I would rest on paper towels first too. Over all, tasty little treat. Easy if your fast in the kitchen.

I live right on the Mex/Tex border. I know churros! This recipe was great. The dough really will form a ball as described and will fry up perfectly. My kids prefer the homemade ones over the churros we see sold at events or in the mercados now.

    Time: 15 to 20 minutes
Mess: Sauce pan, two bowls, stirring spoon, beaters, whisk and tongs. Fryer and oil to clean.
    Clean up time: 20 minutes.

Kids think these are the best!
