Very good cookie, but similar to others I have had. Not sure the coconut did anything to the cookie. Best thing about this recipe is that it is super easy. Just grab all the ingredients and start pouring and mixing. Mine needed about 15 minutes to cook to a nice light brown color. Worthy of repeating.

Crowd pleaser! I'm a nurse and whenever we have a potluck or celebration of any sort, I'm pretty much not even allowed in the hospital without these scrumptious Cowboy Cookies! Sooo yummy! And I make mine BIG...after all, they should live up to their namesake, right? ;-

Made it with butter, substituted 1/2 cup wheat germ for the flour. Very good. A bit think for my tast but will add the water the next time and see if that makes them thinner.

This is a good cookie but found that adding about 4 tablespoons worth of water made the dough eaiser to work and the cookies flattened better. The ones we made with the H2O also tasrwd better

I discovered this recipe about 4 months ago. Since then, I have made it several times. My daughter and her friends are constantly requesting these. As the previous reviewer, it is a great basic recipe. My current favorite version is dark chococlate chips and mixing all or part of the flour with soy flour. A must have for every cookie lover.
