My husband and I love this lamb burger recipe! We don't do the eggplant, but instead just top it with the tzaki sauce, lettuce, and tomatoe. Yum Yum!

Seasoning overpowers it. It's not a lamb burger, it's a cumin burger. If I was to make this again, I would cut the seasoning in half, if not down to a third of what they list. Lamb is delicious, no need to try to make it taste like something else.

Is cumin found in Greek cooking? If you want a Greek influenced burger, go to Good Eats Gyro meat recipe. Just replace the lamb with ground chuck and reduce the marjoram and rosemary by, at least, three-quarters. Great subtle Greek flavor. Can Bobby cook anything that doesn't have some Southwestern influence?

Very bland! My family all agreed, it lacked flavor.

Amazing. Simple solution for the people that are saying it's messy: make smaller burger patties so they actually fit in the pitas and they will not be messy : such a good result and easy to make, highly recommended!

My friends and family love these burgers - a delicious alternative to the plain old burger.

I tried this recipe without the eggplant. It was great and it saved me lots of time and mess. I think with the eggplant this "burger" would have been difficult to eat.
    Great flavor combinations.

I would not recommend this burger to anyone. The sauce did not compliment the meat at all and the choice of bread was just weird for a hamburger. I am all for creative toppings but this burger recipe was just gross.

This was an easy twist to the same old hamburger dinner. Although, finding lamb can sometimes be hard to do. Sometimes we make the hamburger without the sauce - to go a little lighter.

I have to say I'm not usually a big burger person, and when my hubby made these for me the other night after watching the burger throwdown (the opera singer was hilarious!I was skeptical. They were so delicious! I loved the combination of the cool yogurt, with the lamb and grilled eggplant.
