First, the 8oz of dough is just wrong. Get the 16 or 18oz. Like many others, I substituted ingredients; using cherry-flavored cranberries and macadamia nuts instead. Cutting the cookies was not easy even after refrigerating dough for a bit, so ended up shaping cookies - (again like others did. Didn't dip in chocolate becuz I read the other reviews, instead drizzling it. The cookies came out flatter than I prefer (who doesn't love a fatty cookie?! but they were delicious! Husband loved them too ... and not just because I told him so! I would recommend trying these cookies at least once, and do whatever ingredients you like. Simple and you don't even have to get out your mixers!!

I made these for a Christmas party last year and they were a big hit! They looked great too. I plan on making them again this year!!

I made these with goji berries instead of cherries and didn't use the white chocolate. The cookies are extremely sweet without the chocolate so I don't see that it would add anything. I do agree that they need to be drop cookies. I placed the tube of dough in my mixer and added the ingredients that way. I'll probably make these with homemade cookie dough next time.

These cookies are great and so easy. Instead of dipping them in the white chocolate, I drizzled the melted chocolate over them so the whole cookie is covered.

Instead of pistachios I used chopped macadamia nuts, instead of dried cherries, I used craisins and they came out great!

I made these cookies for a cookie exchange at work. I don't care for Pistachios so I used cashews instead. Needless to say they were a huge hit and when the votes were tallied I won for the best tasting cookie.

Loved these cookies. I acutally used a homemade sugar cookie dough that had some spices in it aside from the pistachios and cherries. It really worked well and tasted great!

I made this recipe for a breakfast/Christmas meal for the ladies in my southern Sunday School class. This is a hard bunch of women to please, as most people here are really picky about new food flavors.

These cookies knocked their socks off. Everyone of the women asked for the recipe and made their own. I think this will become a southern favorite here.

My original review was deleted -- that's how bad the recipe was!

I finally tried these and they are easy and good. Like the others, I found the dough hard to slice with the pistachios, so ended up rolling balls of dough and flattening them out. Drop cookies would probably work well too, like others have said.
