I made this just now and am enjoying it as I write the review. It is beyond delicious, not to mention nutritious! I used frozen strawberries and added frozen blueberries for that extra anti-oxidant boost...MMMMMM...Thank you, Ina for reminding us how a few simple ingredients can come together to create a wonderful treat for our bodies! A great way to start my new "eat healthier" promise to self.

This was beyond DELICIOUS! I used the frozen bananas and mango instead of strawberries. I also used some apple juice because I didn't have enough orange juice. I was soo yummy, the lime is the secret ingredient that gives it that kick!

Wondered why the lime was added - just for added tartness or something to do with the bananas not discoloring...haven't seen lime in other smoothie drinks.

This is good, but if you use a frozen banana the smoothie will be thicker and taste creamier. Take a bunch of bananas, peel them, cut each one into 4 pieces and place in a zip-lock bag. Toss in the freezer the night before, and when you want to make the smoothie just take out 4 pieces, add to rest of ingredients in the blender and give it a whirl. Delicious!

Use the frozen strawberries as some suggested to make it thicker and cold or vise versa and keep frozen 'ice cubes' of oj in the freezer to have when needed if strawberries are in abundance for you. Also, for added sweetness, use bananas that are very well speckled with brown spots to avoid the added sugar some were reaching for...IF you're interested in avoiding the added sugar is all.

I made this smoothie this morning for my sister and I and we both loved it, I didn't have limes but I used some milk instead along with the rest of the ingredients and it tasted great just like a perfect morning smoothie!

I loved the color of this drink especially when I served it in a cocktail like glass to my fiance. He was impressed.

I am giving this 4 stars because when I made the recipe as written, I felt that it was not sweet enough. I had to add a little honey.

I have also tried making this recipe with some additional plain yogurt. It is good with or without yogurt.

I served this as sort of an appetizer for a brunch. It was a pretty color and looked great in a cocktail glass garnished with fruit. The recipe does not make a lot, but it worked out well because nobody filled up too much! Great healthy drink!
