LOVE this dish! I didn't give it 5 stars because it's VERY spicy if you follow the recipe as written. I only use 1.5 tsp of red pepper flakes and it's still great. It's a super simple recipe that you don't need to buy 50 million ingredients to make. Wonderful flavor! Thanks Emeril!

As good, if not better, than you get in restaurants. I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes though I like tomato sauce recipes, ketchup, etc., just not tomato chunks. So this was perfect as it didn't have chunks and wasn't too saucy. Thanks as always Emeril!

I wasn't sure that I would enjoy this because the recipe seemed too "simple" to have much flavor. Boy was I wrong!!! My husband loves fra diavolo but he is sometimes disappointed when ordering it at a restaurant. Lots of people do not know what spicy is and he likes his spicy. I did double most of the recipe except the pasta, shrimp and red pepper because I like my pasta with lots of sauce. I chose to use the entire 3 tsp of red pepper and I felt it was just right and so did my husband, who said this recipe is better than most of the fra diavolo he has eaten over the years. It was super easy to make as well!!! I will definitely be making this again!!!

Can you say AMAZING! We made the recipe exactly as written and my husband and I both loved it the only changes we will make next time is using 1/2 lb of pasta instead of the 1lb as called for with the same sauce measurements so its more saucy. Cant wait to make again :0

This is one of the few recipes my entire family of 8 will eat. With the entire amount of red pepper, it is too hot for a couple of us so I cut back the amount to half of what the recipe calls for and it's perfect for all. Very quick and easy to make and since I always keep shrimp in the freezer, I can make this at the last minute. I did notice a difference in the recipe I found online today and the one I printed a couple of years ago......that recipe called for tablespoons of red pepper and this one calls for teaspoons. Maybe that's the reason it was too hot for many.

Here's my dilemma... there is such a difference in peoples opinion of "hot". I loved this! Just the right degree of heat for me, spicy but yummy. My husband took 3 bites and couldn't eat anymore, he didn't complain about the heat, just got up from the table, got some tissues, blew his nose and started mopping his brow. I made just as described (only 2 tsp of red pepper flakes, not 3 and it was just to spicy for him. That's why I gave the 3 stars, easy and quick, I loved it but way too hot for some.

My family LOVED this. Deliciouslyly spicey but not too much as other reviews said; used the exact quantities. Extremely flavorful and easy. Now that's what I like for a week night!

I loved this recipe and so did my my mom and husband. It was a little too spicy for my 2 year old, but I would make this again. I didn't add any extra ingredients I cooked it according to the recipe.
