Great mix of ingredients. My husband and I loved it and eat it with a side of veggies instead of as a sandwich. Pefect meal!

So interesting.....that the people who have been so insulting about this recipe have identified themselves as "anonymous"? I have made this meatloaf several times, and it is absolutely delicious. It is so much many of the delicious "pâtés de viande" that you can buy in France....only better. I am so grateful to her for showing Americans how authentic, unpretentious, and varied Italian cooking really is. It is so REAL and true to the good fresh ingredients used. Also, I love Giada's imagination and inventiveness. Thank you !!

I love this recipe and have made it on occasion for years...as a regular weekday meal or sandwiched in a large ciabatta loaf then sliced into small slices as part of an array for a party. I do not think the ingredients are hard to find as one reviewer noted. My local grocery store stocks all of them. As for cost, better quality ingredients generally equate to better quality and better tasting food in my book. I do substitute a good bacon for the pancetta as I think it gives a slightly nicer smoky flavor than the pancetta. But I love the sun dried tomatoes and parmesan in it. And the Arugula mayonnaise is the practically the best part in my opinion. It just complements the flavor so well. Toast the sandwich rolls a bit and slather on a liberal amount with a nice thick slice of the meatloaf. It is to die for good.

While I enjoyed the meatloaf, I could not help but think this is NOT everyday fare. Giada consistently uses high end gourmet ingredients, like parmasiano reggiano at $22 plus a pound, as well as pricey prosciutto, pancetta, fresh herbs, gourmet greens, etc. when they do not seem necessary. I will go back to my regular recipe that uses bacon (not pancetta, ketchup (instead of sun dried tomatoes, and lettuce (not arugula.

This was the most delicious meatloaf I have ever eaten. Loved the flavor, delicious in sandwiches or just alone with a pasta side. Cannot wait to make it again.

Did not like the taste at all, It was the sundried tomatoes that I did not like. I would like to try this with my traditional meatloaf recipe and use the pancetta to wrap the outside of the meatloaf.

very good...I make this all the time. This time I used Proseiutto...or you could use turkey bacon. You dont need to use extra oily meat for there is olive oil in the sundied tomatoes. Love this much better than beef....so so so good.

So absolutely delicious. We don't like arugula, so I substituted with spinach and we loved the mayo. This was moist and delicious. It will be my go-to recipe for meatloaf in sandwiches or as an entree. Thanks Giada!!!
