This is a wonderful dessert that is great to share with that special someone! I made it with high-quality chocolate (Valrohnaand hot chocolate mix (Marie Belle. I think cheaper chocolates wouldn't yield such great results. Hershey's new "Reserve" line would probably be good. I used leftovers (I left some in the blender because I knew we couldn't finish it all to make a great chocolate granita. Just follow freezing instructions for any granita recipe.

This recipe is delicious!! I added 1/4 a teaspoon of mint extract and it added a bit of zing to it. I love cherries; the top of mine was covered in marichino cherries

I loved this frozen hot chocolate. It tastes just like the one at Serendipity!! I was so amazed that it actually did. It was also really simple to make and I should know, I'm usually horrible at cooking.

Paula never tried to take credit for this recipe. She even stated that it was from Serendipity in NYC - and then the creator of the recipe HIMSELF came out at the end of the show. You give it one star simply because she featured it on her show? You need to get a life! I have made this before and it is pretty good. I will try it with ice cream like others suggested.
