I try this recipe and I add natural sweet figs and raisins. Everyone always ask for a copy of the recipe. Great!!! It takes time but it is worth the effort.

This was my first attempt at baklava and I have to say this recipe was so descriptive and helpful. I added semi-sweet chocolate chips to the nut mixture to satisfy my family's chocolate craving and it turned out amazing! GREAT recipe, was described by my sister as "sinfully delicious".. Definitely reccommend it!

If you do not have a food processor, add about 45 minutes for nut chopping. I used Emeril's trick for keeping the filo dough moist, but mine stuck to itself very badly and was super frustrating. However, despite the challenging nature of this recipe, the results were fantastic. Only attempt this recipe if you have lots of time and lots of patience.

I made this for my students as an example of Greek/Turkish/Cypriot cuisine. For students who are unfamiliar with it, most of them really liked it. I had NO idea how tedious it would be to make. It was easy, but took longer than I anticipated, but probably not longer than the 40 minutes of prep stated. It just felt like longer because I made two batches. I gave some to my Greek principal and he called it the "real deal." I didn't make any adjustments and I was very pleased with the recipe. Thanks!!!

This is the first time I have made Baklava and this recipe was very clear and helpful. The baklava came out so good and I was really impressed with how easy it was.

I have to say this was a pretty easy recipe. I made it for Thanksgiving this year and everyone who tried it really loved it. I did substitute nutmeg for the cardamom. Phyllo dough is not the easiest thing to work with but the damp towel keeps the sheets damp and easy to peel.

Easy, Simple and elegant. Everyone swears I must have bought it. Just make sure the the damp cloth you cover the sheets with is very lightly damp. Otherwise you will have dough stuck to your cloth and an unholy mess. Other than that its perfect.

I love this recipe. I made it for a baby shower and all the moms couldn't believe that I made while my husband was at work (have 2 yr old and 8mos old. It took me a little longer to make because my 2 yr old helped and I used the food processor for the nut mixture. It was awesome though and was eaten really fast. Not only that but it was super easy.
