The green sauce on this was delicious . I thought it was spicy enough with 2 jalapenos and pepper jack cheese, but I have kids. I also used pork sausage, which I would not recommend . It over powered the great green sauce. I also used the wheat tortillas which were good. I think I'll try a more delicate meat next time and it did take more than 30 min and 3 pans.. My family thought it was great, but ai might try shopeg corn next time.

I thought this was a great idea. It was quick and easy. Usually the only thing I put hominy in is pozole or menudo. I didn't realize iti's a good filler food like potatoes. My family loved it.

Wow - the flavors are incredible. I cut the recipe in half since I was cooking for 2 (everything but the seasonings based on some of the reviews. Can't say enough about this one. Who would have ever put honey, avacado, tomatillo and cliantro together - will have to figure out how to use that again. Will cook again! My ground pork was still a little bland, I will give it a little kick next time.

My husband and I loved this. I made a few alterations based on what was and was not in my pantry. I used ground turkey instead of the pork. I didn't have the hominy, so I just used corn. I added red pepper flake to the meat while it was cooking because I didn't have any fresh peppers. And I used canned tomatillos, too.
It was really easy to make. I will make this again, for sure.

My husband and I loved this dish! It was a great way to change up the rotaion during the week, but is still great for a weekend meal as well. I used lean ground turkey instead of the pork and Colby Jack cheese. We love the smokiness of Chipotle, so we added some chipotle seasoning to the ground meat while it was cooking.. Made everything else to a 'T'..and it was fabulous!
Thanks, Rachel!

This was an interesting and yummy spin on a classic Mexican lasagna. I used lean ground turkey instead of the pork, and since the tomatillos at my store didn't look fresh, I bought 2 jars of tomatillo salsa. When the lime juice, honey, and pureed avocado are added, the flavor is wonderful! My husband I truly enjoyed this dish, but it makes a huge lasagna, so invite a lot of friends over for dinner! We also found that 2 lbs of cheese is not necessary-we just added the amount we wanted while layering.

I loved this one although my 12 year old daughter wouldn't touch it because it looked "green". I added more lime juice and used ground turkey and cut the recipe in half except for the tomatillo sauce. The tomatillo sauce is super flavorful, fruity and fresh - dare I say - perky! It's great with left over charred tortillas! Took a few pans and time to make all this but worth it. All the leftovers are gone!

My husband and I loved it. I too made some variations. Although I'm not afraid of the cheese and pork, I used ground turkey. It does cut the fat alot, and all the flavor is still there. I stepped up the cumin and the coriander also. I used prepared spicy guacamole instead of the avocados. The lime really gives it alot of flavor. Remember that you can cut portion sizes if you think it's too much fat or calories, and like some of the previous reviewers said, there's low-fat cheese and sour cream. There is no hydrogenated oil or fat in this recipe, so still is very healthy. The many other very healthy ingredients really take the stage. I also used corn tortillas, am allergic to gluten. It was great.

This was gooooood! I made some changes like other reviewers. I used 2% Colby and Monterey Jack cheese, 7% fat ground meat, and Rotel in the posole instead of the peppers. I also added a little bit of smoked paprika and cajun seasoning to the meat as it cooked. I made it with whole wheat tortillias. Even better with Taco Bell mild or hot sauce on top!!! My husband LOVED it!

Like, OMG STeph! Forget your arteries hardening it sounds like you were having a heart attack just reviewing this dish! Take a breather. The sour cream was optional, you can always sub lowfat cheese, and just minus a couple layers by cutting the meat portion and tortillas. Btw, I haven't made this dish but I gave it 5 stars to balance out the negative 1 star reviews from the calorie police.
