This was the best Chocolate Chip cookie I have made. I did make a few changes because I may be one of the only people who like less choclate chips in their chocolate chip cookies. I added walnuts also. Easy and they get eaten up quickly. Awesome recipe!!!!!

The best chocolate chip cookie recipe debate has been settled. This recipe is by far the easiest, simplest, most normal ingredient chocolate cookie recipe I've ever. These cookies end up coming out thick, soft, and chewy, but if you make smaller cookies they can be perfectly crunchy.
I went on a spree of trying every variation of the classic imaginable; trying out crisco, margarine and trying out the oddest type of flours out there. Save yourself the time/frustration and try this recipe to end your search for the best chocolate chip cookie.
Also, this is one of the few recipes, where there's no need to tweek it, it's just that good.

AWESOME!!! They were sooooo good!! We finished them in only 3 days!! Even the dough was REALLY good. I completely recommend these cookies! We used about 3/4 of the bag of chocolate chips.

These cookies are so easy and tasty! I love that there's no creaming of butter and sugar and they still come out great. So easy to make with my 3 year old. I use whole wheat flour and all brown sugar and they come chewy and slightly nutty. This is a chewy, thick cookie which I prefer to those thin, buttery/oily ones.

MUST READ: I don't get how you all are calling this "tasty" and "yummy." I followed each instruction very well, yet my cookie dough turned out dry and crummy; it was falling apart. When I baked it, it started to turn pale with cracks throughout it. I took it out right when it hit the 12 minutes, and I was faced with burnt-on-the-bottom, cakey, flavorless ROCK-HARD cookies. It tasted like flour and was not sweet at all! I will take some fault, I'm only a teenager, and I have little baking experience. But seeing others say this was an EASY recipe made me want to go for it. DO NOT make these cookies unless you HAVE A LOT, LOT, LOT OF BAKING EXPERIENCE. Sometimes, I hate Food Network Kitchens. :P

Great recipe! I read in another recipe to use cake flour instead of all-purpose because it's finer so I tried that in this recipe and they turned out so light and fluffy. I followed the advice of other reviews and used half the chocolate chips, baked only for 8 minutes and then I decided to sub 1/4 tsp of the vanilla with peppermint extract. It gave the cookies a hint of peppermint and my kitchen smelled like christmas!!

This recipe was delicious! The cookies were so chewy and buttery. The only thing i would say is that there was way too much chocolate chips in the cookies for my liking. Other than that, a fantastic cookie!

Not as chewy as I wanted but they are okay, I won't make them again but I will eat the rest I made.
