Stays chewy for days. Excellent cookies that my 14 year old made by herself. Thicker cookies that look gourmet.

These are my favorite go to recipe for chocolate chip cookies. They are super easy and delicious. I bake them all the time. Everyone loves these cookies. There are so easy that you and the kids or grandkids can bake them together.

If you prefer a flatter cookie, this recipe is not for you. Melting the butter in a cookie recipe is what causes them to bake taller and fluffier. Use softened butter (room temp if you want your cookies to spread a little more.

However, if you are like me and like thick, soft chocolate chip cookies with chocolate in every bite -- you have found your ultimate recipe!

my batch was a disaster! it was so salty tasting that I almost couldnt swallow. Was it because I didn't use a whole bag of chocolate chips? I used less then half of the bag. I figured maybe the cookies wouldn't taste bad with less chocolate chip. :0(

These are the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I looked long and hard to find a recipe this good, and now everyone I make them for wants a copy of it! At Christmas time I add crushed candy canes and add a tsp. of peppermint extract. My husband can't wait for the holidays to get some!
