These were a bit difficult to make. The first time I mixed the batch they were very runny, tried to cook a test one anyway. Came out flat as a pancake! I added an 1 cup more flour and a 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Also instead of unsweetened I added milk chocolate ( as the chips aswell. They taste very good and were a hit AFTER the alterations! I would recommend trying for a chocolate lover!

Very rich, but delicious cookies. I would suggest adding the cherries to half the batch to see which you like better. I would also suggest taking the cookies out while the tops are still squishy because chocolate dries out easily. My dad absolutely LOVES these and so do I. Good Luck!

Great recipe if you LOVE chocolate! I Left out the cherries and added an additional 1/2 Cup of chocolate chips! Absolutely Divine!

This recipe yields a very intense, chocoately cookie. Don't skip the cinnamon - it gives warmth to the flavor without overpowering the chocolate. Add a teaspoon of granulated coffee to the batter to further highlight the flavor. I reduced the sugar to 1 cup and may reduce it even further next time. For pure indulgence, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Extremely rich, decadent cookie - great with the cherries. I prefer half as much cinnamon. This time around, I made half a batch for a yield of about 2 dozen medium-sized cookies. I agree these would be great with toasted nuts, maybe in place of the chocolate chips.

The recipe was easy and I had all of the ingredients in the house. The batter looked and tasted great. However, the end result was a very, very chocolate cookie. I love chocolate but evidently not as much as I thought. It had to much chocolate and cherries made it even sweeter. Some people liked the cookie but most did not want to finish the cookie. I will not make this cookie again. It was expensive and there are much better chocolate cookie recipes out there. This was a big disappointment.

These cookies were fabulous! I had to make an adjusment though. The first batch of cookies came out really flat and pancake like even though I added baking powder like one user suggested. Instead of 1 cup of flour, I think it should be 2. My second batch came out looking just like the picture, more rounded, with more body, and still fudgy-delicious. I used the cherries and added walnuts! I shipped these sweet treats to my sweetheart in the army. It reminds me of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia icecream in cookie form. A great addition to my recipe box!
