You can never go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe!!! These oxtails came out perfect...Thanks paula!!!....For those tha were questioning the amount of salt, you have to read and pay attention. Thats for a bulk recipe of her house seasoning. You put that together and store it. You would season your meat to your liking after you make a jar of the seasoning. Love you Paula

I love this receipe and so does everyone else that has tried it. My mother has always cooked Oxtails, but her way of cooking them is on the stove, but this way is just as good. Thanks Paula. Yes, my Oxtails are in the oven as we speak for dinner tonight!

I've never had Oxtails, but Paula can make anything look good especially when she's eating it.. one of the reviews has that they didn't know about the 1 cup of salt, I don't know what their getting that from. Maybe the House Season recipe, Pay attention!!!
If you don't trim the fat off enough these will be greasy. make sure they are trimmed good. They melt in your mouth I make at least once a month. Just try them this is my Comfort food.

I'd never tried to cook oxtails before. Never had the nerve. I loved them as a boy when my mother made them, but the process always seemed long and arduous to me. This recipe showed me how easy (though still long the preparation can be. The result? Damn yummy! The soy sauce sent the flavor into the stratosphere.

I was really excited about this recipe but while I was making it, there are a couple things I'm not sure about...1. how much water am I supposed to put in? it says 1/4 of the way to the top, so does that mean fill only the bottom 1/4 of the pan with water? 2. how much house seasoning should I use? Mine certainly doesn't look like the picture of Paula's...HELP!!

one full cup of salt? not this time. I'm concerned about my heart.
This recipe calls for way too much salt.

First time for me. I had never had oxtails before and this recipe was easy to prepare and delicious once once complete. I will certainly fix this dish again.

This is a great comfort dish! A very real beef flavor and taste. We kicked it up a knotch and instead of water, we cooked in beef broth and wine! Yummo!

This recipe was great! My mother use to make a similar dish, but this is so much easier. Next time, I will not add so much water. It came out more like a soup than what I expected, but still very tasty. Thanks Paula & Michael. Everytime we eat oxtails, we'll think of you!!!
