I love to cook, spcially food from different culture. This was the best, I made this twice before, but lost the recipe. I looked for it forever until I got it. Tasty, with preserved lemon and other ingridients. I served it over steamed rice.
Thanks Paula.

My experience with the Savory Spice Shop was excellant both on-line and on the phone! Their website is easy to navigate and order from & the lady I talked to was very helpful. I had my order in 3 days and we enjoyed the chicken tonight. It was a little blander than I expected, but we both enjoyed it. I was able to get the preserved lemon from the Savory Spice website and did see it on the Sur la Table site also. Their shipping is very good too so this shouldn't be a problem to get within a few days.
Thanks for sharing the recipe, Paula. I'm a "girl raised in the South" and love all your recipes, but sometimes it's nice to venture down another trail.

I ordered the spices from the Savory Spice Shop and was happy with them and feel that they're a good product. I guess it's just this recipe I don't like. It didn't have much flavor. Had a slight heat to it, which is good but, that was it. Will not make again. The Harissa Spiced Green Beans, on the same show, are really good though and I will make them again.

I made this tonight. I agree that the Marrakesh seasoning was not to be found. I used Penzey's Maharajah Style Curry Powder, which seemed to have most of the right ingredients although possibly not in the right proportion. Still, it was good.(I think you could have used your favorite curry seasoning by the way! Preserved lemons came from Sur La Table. I made Carrot and Almond Couscous (also a Food Network recipe to go with. Yummy!!
This is easy to make once you find the ingredients. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because if the ingredients are harder to find, the recipe should say where to find them or suggest an alternative.
