OMG!! Simply wonderful!! I prepared this for the "Day-After" Christmas brunch. EVERYONE loved it! I even brought some to my neighbor's house. Paired with cheese and chive omelets and some salty bacon---it made the perfect meal!!!!! Thanks Sandra!!!

Simple with pantry available ingredients. The apple combo reminds me of a French Country Apple Cobbler - delicious ! I changed one ingredient and that was using thick, day-old egg bread instead of the raisin bread. Will make again and again !

The first time I made this Apple-Cinnamon bread pudding I used the Cinnabon brand of cinnamon bread. I just thought that sounded better than the other brands. I brought it to a gathering and received rave reviews from all and was asked for the receipe. The next time I made the pudding, for some reason I don't know, I bought the Pepperidge Farm cinnamon bread. Well, there was no comparassion. The pudding was ok, but nothing compared to when I used the Cinnabon brand bread. So if you want rave reviews you have to use the Cinnabon. The Cinnabon brand was much more flavorful and there was a definate difference.

This is the best bread pudding you'll ever eat. I use heavy cream and my family prefers a caramel sauce instead of the ginger ale sauce. I use a caramel sauce recipe of Emeril's from this site.

I make this on special occasions. People go crazy when they taste the apple in it and then ask me for the recipe. I find that it is at its best texture when it has been refrigerated for a day.

The result was soggy, short on flavour, and had a sort of chemical-y aftertaste. Maybe from the ginger ale or the rum extract? I don't know, but it was unquestioningly bad. I'm glad I gave this recipe a test run before inflicting it on others!

I don't believe in wasting food, so this went straight into the compost bin. I only hope it doesn't kill the vegetables in my garden, by the time it becomes fertilizer!

I made this with cinnamon bagels that I had plus some bread and used peach filling and crasins, nuts and peach instant oatmeal. I found it too dry (but this may have been my fault as I left my oven on preheat and not sweet enough. I din't like things real sweet but this needed something more plus more moisture. I didn't make the sauce and it would have helped both problems. I'll try again with some changes.

I made a few substitutions based on other reviews. I used vanilla extract instead of rum. I also used two packets of the Dream Whip topping in the sauce mix instead of one, and it turned out more like a frosting. I used cream soda instead of ginger ale, and my husband thought the pudding and sauce tasted like a cinnamon roll! It is a dry bread pudding, and with the apples it tasted more like a cobbler than a bread pudding. Good flavor though, and I enjoyed the frosting/sauce.

Did not like this at all. Too dry & had little flavor. Recipe cost over $15.00 to make & not worth the cost or time I put into making this. Looked good on TV but not when I made it.

I chose to make this one Thanksgiving as I was getting sick of the same old pumpkin pie. Everyone loved it and it's now a staple to our Thanksgiving meal. The great thing about the recipe is that you can modify it based on if you want more or less raisins/apple filling/etc. It is also very easy to make and tastes great warm or cold!
