Wonderful.. I have made this 2 ways. One was just the salmon, brushed with pesto then baked. Then meanwhile I gave the tomatoes a very quick heat up in a fry pan ( seasons with a tiny pinch each of garlic and basil Then placed tomatoes on top The other way was as per recipe. BOTH are excellent. BTW...To the reviewer that said the puff pastry was soggy,...your supposed to cook them separate, and make sure nothing is touching when on the baking sheet.THEN assemble...enlarge the picture to see how it looks when done....At least that is what I did.. You can also oven "fry" the tomatoes by dredging them in seasoned bread crumbs, drizzle w/oil and place on a rack over the baking sheet. Cook same time w/salmon...then assemble or serve on the side

We loved this! Key was to use really great tomatoes. Adding into our rotation!

Delicious flavors to go with Salmon. We eat it a LOT and this is a keeper. I used store bought pesto which worked well and I salted and peppered the salmon, because I felt I had to. I am glad I did, too, because it was delicious! NExt time I will heat the tomatoes in the microwave a bit before putting it together.

Great flavors! It's super simple and tastes fresh. The almond slices add texture - both the salmon and pastry are very soft. If I ever make this recipe again I'll be baking the pastries and the salmon separately. When I made this yesterday the juices from the salmon ran over to the pastries and made them very soggy. It looked funny when I served it because it was so tall - the pastry with tomato and pesto over it, with a piece of salmon on top of that. The salmon with the pesto is very tasty though.

It's a great quick recipe that looks fancy. I use Bruschetta from a jar and like it better than the pesto. Don't need the tomato that way.

For a brain dead simple dish, this wins hands down. Buy frozen pastry sheet, buy Salmon filets and ask the butcher to remove the skin, pre-made pesto sauce... the only "work" is thawing the pastry sheet and cutting the tomato. Wonderful mix of flavors, and so simple!

Super easy and delicious! I seasoned the salmon with a little salt and pepper. I also took the skin off the bottom after I baked it in the oven. It's much easier to remove it after it's been cooked. Great recipe, my family loved it!

Took this recipe away to make on a girls trip, it was yummy and we served it with a strawberry salad - the girls raved about it and really it was very simple. However like someone else said, don't make the salmon too big.
