LOVED this! I'm planning on making this in a larger batch for the two Thanksgivings that we're going to this year. FYI, this is more like a TRUE sangria...it's not super fruity and sweet like a lot of "sangrias" around these days. It still tastes like wine - and it's supposed to. This recipe just adds some really great citrusy/fall flavor to the wine. I added a couple cinnamon sticks to make it taste more like a fall drink. We thought it was great either warm or cold!

It was tasty and cozy! It was a really good save for a not-so-great bottle of wine that we have too much of around here. (We make our own, so we only have ourselves to blame. And it's the orange juice that really made the difference, there was still a nasty fault taste coming through until I made that addition. :

When I informed my husband and our friends that I was making warm sangria for a Thanksgiving warm-up, they were skeptical. Turns out...they were right. I couldn't drink it warm; it had an unpleasant bitterness to it. Once it cooled off, it tasted alright, but I'd rather skip the stove and make traditional sangria! I'll stick with spiced apple cider for a warming fall drink :

This has become a favorite drink for us and our neighbors. I have to watch my sugar intake, so we substitute the sugar with Splenda, cannot tell the difference. Really warms you up inside. I highly recommend this drink.

Just made this. I used a Red Zin instead and added whole cinnamon sticks. Very good and easy to do. Cheers!

You need to let this sit for a while before tasting, after an hour or so, its definitely soothing and smooth! I didn't have a chance to read the reviews beforehand, but I don't think I missed anything by not doing so. This is definitely a "should-try." Enjoy and good luck!
