Good texture, though a little thick. Good use of spices, especially the cinnamon. Not too attractive looking when plated.

We loved the recipe! We made it with kidney beans the first time and aduki beans the second time...and BOTH tasted amazing! We have decided to make it our snacking dip since it is so easy to make and so HEALTHY! I do think it should have a yummier name though!

This is an incredible combination of tastes and textures. I do have a problem with all the chemicals in the bean liquid, so I rinsed and drained them as usual, then added a good splash of beer with lime flavoring - excellent. My husband and I ate so much of this wonderful stuff that we didn't end up barbequing our dinner til after dark! Love Nigella's attitude and approach to food.

I've made this a few times not just for a dip but as a side dish to serve with the aramatic meatball's, what I did with it was serve it over basmati rice or cous cous and dolloped some home mad Tzitziki over it and wow, was it great.

I made this for a new year party and it was delicious! Being an Indian the spices were very familiar, though the taste was quite unique!

I was a bit wary of serving a black bean dip to my guests, but everyone went mad for this! I tripled the recipe (and used black beans and there was barely a smidgeon left! A wonderful alternative to the ubiquitous hummus!

This recipe is SOOO good! The spices and lime add such great depth and flavor. The only thing missing was salt, so I added a good amount. I think the recipe's name should be a little more exotic. Using the term "Bean Dip" is misleading as this dish is much more sophisticated.

If I could give this a 10 I would. What a departure from the ordinary. This is a party must if you are looking to give your guests something new and exotic to talk about.

Wow, this dip is soooo different and exotic. Everyone went mad for this at our X-mas party, it outshined the Badejan dip. I think the cinnamon and lime were the two key ingredients that really made you go, "Woah, this is great," and make you wonder what the heck is in it. Of course, I knew, but I had at least 4 requests for the recipe! Thanks Nigella, so glad you're back on the tube (TV, that is.
