I really hate to say this, but wasting a PERFECTLY good geoduck in a salad is a crime. I have dug geoducks for years and to me, the best geoduck is eaten after being cleaved like a round steak then diped in flour then egg and back to flour and fried in about a quarter inch of oil until golden brown.
An even better way is to have a clam sandwich one day after it is fried. These are two GREAT ways to enjoy geoducks as welll as razor clams.
I grew up in Washington State right on the coast and as a kid and adult in my younger days, I would go to the beach and dig razor clams then go to the lower Puget Sound area for geoducks.
Geoducks are NOT for salads
