I followed the recipe axactly and it was a HUGE hit! Even people that didn't care for bleu cheese loved it! Several people asked for the oh-so-easy recipe. Please note that the food processer is IMPERATIVE! There's no other way to cream the cheeses properly. This is a keeper!

I'm not understanding WHY they have to be in 6 individual balls.
Can't I make one large ball and serve with crakers ona platter?

Awesome! I served it at a holiday party and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. I'm bringing it to another party tonight with dried cherries this time. YUM!

I made this over the holidays and took to a party at the home of a caterer. Everyone that tried it loved it and some even said they weren't big date fans, but love the combination of flavors. I served on water crackers.

but this was awful. I tasted it before serving it to my guests. Luckily, I had not used up all the dates so I was able to throw something together quickly with cream cheese, cinnamon and sugar, then stuffed the dates with it. I was very happy when guests remarked about my little tidbits, especially since I knew it could have turned out very differently!

If you like bleu cheese along with a combination of sweet and tangy, this is the recipe for you. Takes practically no time to prepare and was a sensation at the party.

We have made this for several parties recently - we added a couple tablespoons of a Ranch Seasoning Packet to the date & blue cheese mixture - and roll it in a variety of options: Cayenne Pepper, Parsley or Crushed Walnuts. Everyone loves it!

Try rolling cheese balls in craisins, it's much better! Also used chopped pecans and it was good, too.

I used gorgonzola blue cheese instead of regular.. and chilled spread overnight... I didn't need any other spices.. This was so delicious and flavorful... I can't wait to serve it again... My guests loved it. I served it as a appetizer on Christmas..
