    I made my first fried okra today using your receipe. I have never had fried okra before but my boyfriend has and he says this was excellent! Thanks Paula....love all of your receipes/

    I finally decided to try my luck at fried okra. Purchased some fresh okra at the local farm and omg....I was instantly taken back to my Mam-ma's tasty okra. She's was from Georgia and any recipe I didn't get from her (so many weren't written down, I can count on Paula to give me the exact recipe. Thanks Paula for filling in my recipe collection w/ this tasty dish!

    We lived on the mississippi coast when i was a kid. this is exactly as delicious as i remember fried okra to be! Fantastic! We plucked just a few ripe okra from our garden and fried up a mini batch to test it out. Perfect!

    We tried it cut in 1/2 rounds, as well as w/ the okra split down the middle--- preferred the 1/2 inch rounds that Paula recommends. Then we opted for Sriachi sauce; it was the only hot sauce on hand. Absolutely delicious.
