We just had our first real snow here in Georgia and have just eaten snow ice cream and all I can say is 'YUM!" It's just like I remember it from my childhood.

This was so easy. My kids loved it. They said that it taste like Ice Cream. I hope to pass it along to them and their childern and their childrens children. This is something that my mom would have loved.

We had snow right before the holidays this year. We used peppermint extract and a drop or two of green food coloring - Very festive! Have also heard of using lemon extract.

I get so excited when we get a big snow storm because I love to make and eat snow ice cream with my children! I agree with Julie of Palmyra, VA - it's a right of childhood. If people are concerned about germs, toxins and pollution, they better put their kids in a plastic bubble. There's a lot worse out there than snow ice cream. It's one of the best memories you can make for your kids.

I love this recipe and it tastes just like my Grandmother made when I was little! My kids LOVED it and it was so easy. The only problem I have with making the ice cream was hearing all the negative comments from my friends!! "I can't believe you let your kids eat snow with all the germs, toxins and pollution!!" Ugh. Can't win. What is your thought about letting kids eat snow? I just think it's a right of childhood...

I grew up and had flavored snow a few times as a kid. I didn't know how it was made until now. I am glad I could let my children taste a bit of my childhood memories. Thanks Paula for be "Country" and passing on the memories. It is exactly as I remember it "Perfect"

I love this recipe. There are not too many things I remember about my mother (she died when I was five years old, but I do remember this recipe. It always tastes so great! Anybody else here have a hard time not "getting just one more bowl of it"? :D

Being from a 6th generation Floridian, didn't know about Snow Cream. My husbands grandmother made some for me when we visited one Christmas. We now live in Tennessee and I made it for my children, grandchidren and neighbors. I love it and can't wait for it to snow each year. Take care and God bless, K

The base recipe is very simple and we had fun with it by adding different ingrediants. The first time we used vanilla bean vs vanilla extract. The next batch we used vanilla bean and Meyer lemon rind and two Tbls juice. Our final combination we used 4Tbls creamy peanut butter mixed with the condensed milk before adding to the snow. So good!!!!
