This is a very rich dessert and for that reason I would recommend making 8 servings instead of 4. I'm a chocolate fanatic but even I
thought it was too much. Wonderful, elegant dessert that your guests
will thoroughly enjoy.

yes the eggs are raw and the chocolate is hot enough to cook them even scramble them if your not careful...I loved this recipe...excluded the cherries and vermouth $$$...but it still turned out great!
