It was very tasty. I added a 1/2 teaspon (or so of crushed red pepper and some chopped basil to give it more spice and flavor. I've made this numerous times as a week night meal, using raw, frozen shrimp. And, it gives you an excuse to open a bottle of wine. Not that I need an excuse.

I first made this back in July, but never posted a review. We loved this because it did not have a heavy sauce. "A nice light summer meal." One plate and you were full, but not bloated. We did this recipe again tonight but I cut up chicken breast into 1 inch or so cubes instead of using shrimp. Once again very tasty, light, and easy to make.

I agree with previous posters that this recipe was a little bland. However, it was very light and left no heavy feeling, which is great.

I like this recipe. I change it up a bit sometimes by substituting broccoli instead of asparagus and adding green, red or yellow bell pepper. I add mushrooms and I've used lime juice instead of lemon. I've also tried cilantro instead of parsley to kick it up a notch. It's a good, versatile recipe! Chicken broth could probably be added as well instead of the pasta water. I'll have to try that!

It was delicious! But I added more wine and no lemon juice. And I also added mushrooms and onions.

I thought it was good, but i wouldn't call it fast.. I think it calls for too much pasta water and not enough wine and lemon juice because i found it to be a little tasteless...

I agree the recipe was very poorly written. But since I am a food TV junkie I used all the ingredients called for, just didn't really follow the directions.
1 saute shrimp & oil - put in bowl
2 saute asparagus & oil - put in bowl w/shrimp
    3 Saute onion (I can't cook w/o onion & garlic until clear
    4 Add garlic - 30 sec
5 Deglaze with wine - reduce by 1/2
6 Add lemon juice - reduce by 1/2
7 Add tomatoes, shrimp & asparagus, and parsley - let combine for about 2 min

I also didn't use linquine. It was 90 deg here yesterday. So used Couscous - less heat in the house.

It was WONDERFUL! Even my very PICKY 2 year old loved it.

I read another user's comment who gave a negative review about this recipe, and I have to agree with them. It was a little hard to follow, especially when it said to saute the asparagus. Normally Eliie's recipes are detailed and explain what type of skillet to use and the amount of oil needed, but this recipe was vague. It also looked like the person who posted the recipe on this site did not bother reviewing what they wrote before posting, since there were some obvious grammatical errors. Have someone else post your recipes next time, Ellie...and fire the moron who posted this one.
