HEALTHY in this recipe = "good fat" from the Olive Oil and good nutrition from good ingredients.

HAPPY in this recipe = delicious fresh ingredients prepared well.

This is not a "low calorie" recipe.

This is a tasty dish worth preparing for your family.....ENJOY!

Saw this on Michael's Show yesterday and had forgotten that I used to make this from his Tra Vigne Cookbook. Can't wait to make it again. What a very special dish. My husband and I both love it's refreshing and unique
    flavor.

Great recipe. Instead of adding a total of 1/2 cup of oil, I lightened it up by only adding 1/4 cup oil and the juice of one lemon. I also added some lemon zest for some added flavor. The lemon, garlic, Parmesan, and zucchini all complimented each other wonderfully.

I made this for dinner tonight as it seemed a good choice with the monster zucchini I had. (After awhile you need something beside Zucchini bread. It was delicious. I would add more fresh basil for our taste. I used garlic oil as I had no basil oil. I made a tomato and avacado salad and bread and we were good to go. Will DEFINETELY make again.

I did not think this recipe was worth the half hour plus to make it. At best, it is a side dish, but definitely not a main one. It was also too oily. I did add ham as one reviewer suggested which was good. Overall, I probably won't make it again.

THis recipe was supper easy to make and if you don't want to make your own Basil Oil, you can buy it off the shelf. The zuchini and wheat pasta had great texture and the garlic sauce with parmesan was fantastic. I plan to make it as the entree for my next dinner party. I printed the recipe out and gave it to two people in today. It's healthy and delicious. I may try adding some fresh tomatoes, but it's great as is.

ok...i really like Michael and his show. BUT...this episode and recipes are said to be calorie light and healthy. Specifically on the show he said this recipe was "maybe a couple hundred calories total"...right after saying each serving had about 2TBS of oil drizzled on top..that alone is 24GRAMS of fat. I ran the recipe through a nutritional analysis using the USDA nutritional info and it comes up: 754 calories per SERVING over 400 of which are fat..or 46grams of fat. Even if the servings were reduced from the size they suggest the net result is this is not a low calorie or low fat meal by any stretch of the imagination. I just get frustrated with television hosts misinforming viewers--and it shows lack of research and topical knowledge. When health is concerned i really would like accuracy so viewers can build an accurate knowledge base and tips on what is truly going to help them meet their health/nutritional needs.
