I made this for a pot luck picnic and everybody loved it! I made it exactly as per the recipe, and next time I may try the fire roasted canned tomatoes as one reviewer suggested. Also, I don't think it is fair to a recipe rating for people to give one star just because they think there are too many fat calories. I rate recipes based on taste and how much the people I serve it to like it. If someone doesn't want a recipe with high fat and calories, then pass it by and there are so many other alternatives to help make it less fattening.

Not a whole lot of flavor besides the mayo/sour cream. Just didn't like it.

There are very few things I don't like and this was one of them. If you are in the mood for a blt, make a sandwich and skip this pasta.

i made this for a large family gathering recently and it was a HUGE hit!! it was meant to be a side dish, so for 20 people it was pretty much perfect (could've used a little more. everyone LOVED it and commented on how great it was. i made the recipe as is (except used a can of fire roasted, diced tomatoes. as for those that think it's too unhealthy, give me a break. it's fine if you're only eating a small portion and not every day! thanks food network!

I haven't made this yet.. But everytime I look at the recipe and the picture it looks so simple to make.. So I'll make it tonight.. It's going to be way to hot to really cook. So this will be dinner tonight.

It was ok - I left the lettuce out as others suggested. However, I made it the morning before my party and the pasta soaked up all the sauce and it was a sticky mess so I made another batch of sauce and it was passable but just ok. Probably will not make again. To those who are worried about the fat/calories - its called portion control. Unless you are going to eat an entire bowl by yourself it shouldn't be a big deal. Just ration it.

I don't know why everyone is getting all worked up about the fat/calories in this recipe - whenever I make any Food Network, recipe that calls for mayo or sour cream or heavy cream, etc. 99% of the time I substitute these ingredients for low-fat or more often than not non-fat versions, thus drastically reducing both the fat and calorie content - and usually, you can't even tell the difference. It doesn't take much effort cook/eat healthy, you just got to get creative. p.s. This recipe works just fine and is a nice echo of the classic BLT sandwich and/or cobb salad - I actually added a bit of blue cheese or gorgonzola to the mix - very tasty!

I'm sorry for the second post, but I have more to say...
Lastly, don't judge a recipe based on the obesity rate of the US. And don't expect Food Network to change their formulas because of it. There are plenty of recipes on this website that are healthy and a very easy search engine to find them. Have fun at Cooking Light, but I'd rather use my head and substitute ingredients than loosing all of these great recipes. I'm sick of the obesity rates being everyone elses fault. How about people start taking some accountabilty for yourselves and what they put into their mouths.

BLT pasta is a good idea, but the fat and calories way over board. This is a dish that doesn't store well, so I revised to make healthier and smaller since we are only two.
So, use 4 strips pre-cooked bacon, crisped in microwave-no grease. No need to cook tomatoes. Used Mircle Whip-2 Tbs (1/2 the calorie of mayo no need for sour cream (less calories, never had it on a BLT sandwich, 2 Tbs milk, 1 cup pasta, handfull fresh baby spinach finely chopped (do this often and tell them it is herbs. Just add lettuce, scallions and pepper. For us this taste was much more like a real BLT and hugely more healthy
