Made these again for Thanksgiving, still a total hit. I've done them 5 times now, changing the herbs to fit with the meal. They are always rich and buttery and just plain delicious :D

I made these last night to accompany a roasted salmon dish and they were delicious, but the recipe needs to be tweaked a little. 1/2 cup chives did NOT yield a very pronounced flavor - next time I make them I will add 1 cup of chives OR 1/2 cup of other mixed flavorful herbs. They would be great as just plain, buttery and flaky biscuits. I made these by hand like other pastries I make - I cut in the butter using a pastry blender and the result was just the same. Make sure to use KOSHER SALT - makes all the difference in the world.

These biscuits are the best. They puffed up beautifully and were light and tasty. The whole family loved them. I used my food processor to make and it worked perfect. I read the other reviewers and added only 1/2 tsp. of kosher salt. Next time, I will add the 1 tsp. per the recipe's directions. If anyone has a problem w/ them being too salty, it might be that they used regular table salt instead of the kosher salt. Great recipe Ina! I am going to use it again experimenting w/ cheddar cheese. Thanks!

I thought these were excellent. I didn't change a thing, but this recipe is easy to play with. I could've eaten these biscuits for dinner and skipped the rest of the meal!

We made these biscuits tonight, and they were fabulous!! We added a cup of shredded cheddar, and used 1% milk because we didn't have half and half, and they were delicious! I also used 1/2 tsp of salt since other reviewers thought they were salty, and they were perfect. Will make again!! Thanks Ina!!!

I feel terrible awriting this review becuase Ina usually never steers me wrong but these biscuits came out dryer than sand and all I could taste was the baking powder. I couldn't even stomach eating more than a bite.

These are a definite crown pleaser! There are so many variations! So far I've tried chives, green onions, scallions and diced red onions. Occasionally I add 1/2 cup of finely shredded parmesan, cheddar or asiago cheese. I've also substituted the half-and-half for buttermilk with fantastic results! Use as directed or get creative - the sky is the limit!
