My 5 year old daughter watched this made on the show and said "Mom, will you make that for my birthday?". I did and it was awesome! Nice and rich. I didn't have brandy so I used Kahlua and did plain whipped cream. This recipe is a keeper!

I was not all pleased with the results of this cake. My springform pan leaked and it has to much chocolate in the cake.

This turned out great ~ very rich, moist and chocolatey, and so easy! I did not have any brandy so I substituted 1/3 cup of brewed coffee and it was very good with a hint of "mocha" flavor. I will definately make this cake again ~ especially since it does not have the dry texture of a cake with flour. This recipe was on the same episode as your "old fashioned pot roast" and I am very anxious to try that one also. Thanks!

OK, MS Gina, I tried this recipe, and the first 5 minutes it was in the oven, my springform pan began to leak, girl! I can not tell you how much of a tizzie this put me in! I immediately cleared counter space, grabbed 2 8"pans, sprayed them, and transferred the remaining batter into them. By this time, the gooey goodness had already begun getting all frothy. So, I put them on a fresh cookie sheet, and prayed. 30 mins later, the toothpick came out clean. I took them out, let them cool, and then tried to de-pan them. H-O-R-R-O-R. Stuck like the dickens. I used a spatula, and tried to "mold" it back together. Grabbed some Betty whipped frosting, dollupped here and there, and proceeded with the top. Oh AMA GAD. BreatheLinda Breathe. after all this, it TASTED FANTASTIC. I was SOOOO Happy I didn't throw it away! Next time, I think I'll skip the springform pan. Love ya!

I found this recipe to be similar to a french recipe I have for a flourless jelly roll cake, only so much easier to prepare. I used the German sweet chocolate bars for the chocolate and instead of dusting the cake with powdered sugar, I dusted it with some unsweetened cocoa powder, then top with a dollop of their wonderful recipe for whipped cream. My company loved it, and so did we. Follow the directions and you won't be sorry. Thanks for this easy and elegant dessert.

If you follow the directions exactly, your cake will turn out very moist, rich, and delicious. If you make the cake, go ahead and make the whipped topping with brandy--it makes all the difference. We loved the cake and our guests loved it too! It is a definite repeat!

My husband and I used to love getting a flourless chocolate waffle for dessert at one of our favorite restaurants where we used to live. This definitely compares! It was excellent- not dry at all. I did not have brandy so I substituted Kahlua. Definitely a recipe worth sharing and making again.

Miss Gina, I am so glad that there is a recipe for a cake with no flour. I made this for a friend, and she just loved it. She was so surprised that it contained no flour, which made her birthday very special. I watch your show every Saturday morning, and find that you and your very special husband make my day. Thank you for all the great ideas and excellent recipes. Elaine
