Next time I make this I will cook the egg noodles prior to. The noodles that fell to the bottom of the pan were fine but I just couldn't get enough moisture to cook those noodles that lay on top of the dish. Husband wasn't thrilled about the grapes, was weirded out by the idea. Other than that, I will make again!

Have to say.. Thanks for great recipes that my husband and i have enjoyed. We been trying to save money and not go out to eat as often these days, so we have been cooking in the kitchen together more often. I must say.. It has brought my family together. We look forward in preparing new dishes that are restaurant quality and to be honest, even tastier. I made the whole Southern Hospitality menu down to the fried okra. It was all delicious! The brandied curry chicken was Divine. I didn't go n buy a big bottle of brandy instead i opted for a miniature, although im sure we could substitute a fortified wine like marsala. It was so fabulous. This weeks menu.. well... lets see.. I'm looking through Sunny"s list now. Hope everyone tries these recipes and make it their own.

Didnt have the brandy but substituted with Jack Daniels. Grapes were a different spin as well. Nice dish!

Is there a suitable substitution for brandy? I don't want to spend the money on something i won't drink. The recipe looks delicious though.
    Thanks :

I made this dish last week and it was a hit I did make a few substitutions I used Henessy instead of Brandy and left out the dill, just didn't have any. But overall I enjoyed this meal very much and will make again!

I followed the recipe and this was one of the worst dishes I have ever made. It called for too much dijon mustard. I ended up throwing rest away.

This recipie is absolutely wonderful! I followed this recipie with the exception of two things: (1 I boiled the noodles for a few minutes before putting them in with the chicken; and (2 I added just a bit more curry powder. Also, don't forget to add salt and pepper to taste. I absolutely LOVED this recpie and will definitely be making it again.

Very tasty. Only drawback was when I cooked the noodles right in the pan with the chicken they came out very mushy. Used Half and Half instead of the cream, and since I didn't have grapes I used strawberries. As I say, it tasted great, but to me it didn't have an eye appeal.

I watched this on Saturday, I didn't have dill, grapes and egg noodles on hand but I made a trip to the store because I needed to get chicken anyway. I did mine with 4 thighs and 3 chicken breasts. I got a small think of heavy cream, probably needed a little more, but when I put the noodles in, I made sure to mix them in a bit and then made sure to cover them with a decent amount of grapes so they could absorb the moisture from the grapes. My rule of thumb is "would I eat it again?" and I ask my hubby to tell me the same, we both agree, we liked it and would definitely eat it again. I had never used shallots before, a bit pricy ($2.29 for 2 small shallots, but I think that Sunny was right, it's a different flavor from onions. Also, I don't typically by fresh spices like dill, that was a bit pricy ($3.00 but I think it did add some flavor to the dish. I get tired of making the same old chicken dishes, so Sunny thanks for putting a unique twist on a chicken dish!

I think when i made this i may have added too many noodles because i had to add some chicken stock for the noodles to fully cook and even then they were very al dente lol. i guess just my error. Anyway the dish was ok it was good but in my opinion by no means out of this world. I think the cream was a little to rich and creamy for my taste. i wonder if its of to cook the noodles in just chicken stock next time?
