Found this recipe in Womans World magazine. Very easy and delicious. The salsa is fabulous. If I could afford scallops every week, this would be a staple!!!

As with all new recipes my family was quiet as everyone took the first bite. Also as usual they looked surprised after that first mouthful as they said "wow this is good". I did have the same concern as other readers about the bacon not being 'crisp'. I didn't overlap the bacon and made 1/2 strip fit each scallop. I also used convection roast option on my oven, and the bacon was absolutely fine. Done just enough.
I cooked rice instead of the quinoa as although I like it, I've tried making it several times using all kinds of fixems and what I don't eat goes to waste.
I also served the jalapeno on the side as I don't like them, and used mango instead of papaya. Actually, in a jam, the scallops really don't need a sauce, they are great as is. Nice meal with salad and rice.
Thank you Robin! I am not a born cook so it really helps to see the meal prepared. I DVR it and watch it several times before attempting.

I seen this episode where Robin makes the scallops wrapped in bacon. I was dying to try this out. I followed the receipe, without sauce, and it absolutely had NO taste. It disappointed me when i spent $20 on these scallops and couldn't eat them with the excitement that should of been. I'm not sure if i did something wrong though i followed completely. I did not the idea of the bacon not really cooking all the way like it should of. Hopefully my husband and I wont be sick tomorrow. I will not be trying this again. Sorry

While I was watching this recipe being prepared on Foodnetwork I thought she should have microwaved or fried the bacon so that is was cooked half way as the scallops only take a few minutes to saute but the bacon takes at least double that time. Even in the picture the bacon looks raw. Hopefully Robin isn't feeding raw bacon to her family.

We really loved this ,it was for us an unusual combination of flavors.I did not know what quinoa was nor could I find it in our local markets, so we just had rice with ours. Thank you for one of our new favorites!!

Robin...you are very, very talented and I frequently prepare your recipes with success. Thank you!
Now...for the bad news. What is with the extra music throughout the show? It is so irritating and doesn't MORPH with your recipe presentations. It just isn't necessary. PLEASE ditch the extra music...it doesn't blend well. You are successful without it.
Thanks for everything!
