I have never attempted to make a souffle before because I am really a cook not a baker. I decided to make this for Valentines Day 2011 for my husband and myself. All I can say is that it came out FABULOUS. Paula's directions were easy to follow, the ingredients were all easily purchased in the grocery store, except the Grand Marnier and the cooking times and oven temperature was exact. (I just purchased a new oven so I was somewhat concerned. As an alternative,I wish that the recipe also included bake times for 8-10 individual servings not just for a 2 1/2 quart size casserole dish. Not that it matterd too much, since my husband and I ate half of it.I will definately make this again.

I needed a chocolate sauce to put over ice cream, and used this one. It was so good everyone was begging for the recipe. I quadrupled the recipe and there was only a tiny bit left. People who almost never eat chocolate over ice cream came back for seconds. I am thrilled.

I was so worried because I've never made ANY kind of souffle before and i was very worried it wouldnt stay up. But they did! I was very careful every step of the way. The results... incredible! So light and fluffy and chocolatey.
I didnt make it with Grand Maniere because I was out, but I want to say that it tastes just as delicious without any liquor. I made them in individual dishes which made it look so cute. Of course it was less time in the oven, about 20 minutes or so. LOVED the chocolate sauce. Can use it for so many other things. All and all, the greatest chocolate dessert!

I have never made a souffle before and decided to try this one because it had chocolate. It was easy to make and my family loved it!! This is one of my favorite deserts to prepare when it's a crisp fall day. Thanks Paula for a great chocolate fix!

This was the first souffle I have ever made. My husband said to me, "You haven't made this before because???" It was a huge hit with the entire family. I will certainly make this again.

This was my first souffle also, but I couldn't resist making it after seeing Paula make it on her show. Came out delicious.
Another reviewer said she tempered the eggs before adding them into the cooled mixture, but that wasn't in the recipe. That's because she didn't. On the show, she tempered the eggs for the fudge pie before adding them to the HOT mixture. When making the souffle, she actually said there was no need to temper the eggs when adding to a COOL mixture, since the whole purpose of tempering the eggs is to prevent them from cooking when adding to a hot mixture (i.e. scrambled eggs.
