I tried this recipe and definitley was not thrilled with it. So far, our favorite Carrot Cake recipe comes from Anne Byrn aka The Cake Mix Doctor. Her Carrot Cake with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting was superb. I had most of my family begging for this recipe. It's incredibly moist. It also has orange juice added in the cake. I felt like I was having a slice of sunshine when I tried this. This cake takes 10 minutes to prepare and 30 to 35 minutes to bake. It will take 15 minutes to assemble this cake. Once you try this cake you'll never believe it all started from a box.

INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend considers himself a carrot cake connoisseur and he LOVED it. I made it for his birthday and this is only the second time that I have made a layer cake and I have never made carrot cake. I followed the instructions exactly (maybe a little less walnuts and it worked out perfectly (no sticking in the pans as some complained ofand the icing was soooooo good as is. I will definitely make again. His family was very impressed!!!

This is a stupid question but this is my first attempt at baking cake. I noticed some of the measurements on the recipe are given in ounces or pounds. Can I just convert them to cups?? Thank you for any help:

I followed this recipe exactly. The nuts and carrots seemed to collect in the middle of the cake and it is really oily. The taste is great, but the texture is really strange. And once again, way to greasy.

Too die for...this was my first carrot cake and it came out great. It was so easy...I did leave out the nuts. The frosting was tasty too...everybody loved it...I am going to try to make them into cupcakes this weekend.

Amazing carrot cake. So moist and delicious. I have tried many recipes but I am sticking to this one now. The only problem, same as many other people, is getting it out of the pan and I have even tried greasing the pan, lining with parchment paper and greasing again! And still sometimes there are issues! If anyone has any suggestions for this, please help. Also, I use another recipe for frosting under Food Network since these measurements seemed off. Good luck!
