My family and I love this recipe and I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I have even brought it to a few holiday parties with friends and at work.

This simple recipe is just great. The buttermilk makes all the difference! There are more complicated recipes with lots of added flavors and ingredients- but this simple pie beats them all in my opinion. The way this pie comes out is simple, easy, and at least for me nostalgic. It tastes of simpler times. I made this recipe as is-I also made it by roasting the sweet potatos with the skins on, rubbing off and peeling the skins before mashing with the sugar and butter. I have also used other squash as a substitute for the sweet potatoes.

this recipe is fast, simple, no muss, no fuss. AND DELICIOUS! I loved it for its speed. It may not be the most decadent, but theres a lot of bang for your buck so to say.

I made this using a Big Squash that I grew in my Garden.
OMG this is the most Delicious Pie Ever. Cross between a Chess Pie and a Sweet Potato Pie. Will Definately make again.

More than anything, this recipe is absolutely delicious! I decided to try it out after reading someone else's review which read that the pie doesn't turn out like pumpkin pie, and my experience proved it right! This recipe doesn't include any spices that take away from the flavor, and it really brings out the sweet potato taste. This recipe is really more than I expected it would be. My family totally loved it! I even tried this recipe using half the butter and half the sugar and even THAT came out good. On top of how good the pie comes out, it is very easy to make. Give yourself two hours from when you put the potatoes in the water to when you pull the pie out of the oven, and most of the time is spent waiting, and you should let it cool down a lot until you cut it because even though it is set when it comes out of the oven, the pie will be watery and appear undercooked if you cut into it immediately. Excellent recipe, you should definitely try it!

I was looking for a quick and easy pie recipe and I found a great one. This recipe is free of all the bells and whistles I found the others to have. It's a sweet and simple as a sweet potatoe pie should be.
Kudos to the chef
