No one in my family cared for this recipe. I followed it exactly. Personally, I did like the garlic mayo but not with the fries.

This recipe is really good! I actually have some in the oven right now : Especially the mayo, but agreed, it is hard to get a crispy "french fry" texture. Still good though.

I LOVE the basil salt and garlic mayo.... I make this with fingerling potatoes all the time and serve them as an app. I agree with other reviews, you just can't seem to get the crispy texture, they are usually soggy..but I still find them tasty!!

I make these often for me and my hiusband. They are a nice alternative to the more unhealthy fried french fry. The dipping sauce is tangy and a perfect complement to the sweet potatoe wedges. Great on the side of any burger!

These fries are amazing. But the best part is the basil salt & garlic mayo! It brings out the flavor in the sweet potatoes perfectly. This recipe is really easy too. I haven't convinced my kids yet, but this is a favorite among the adults in my family.

Well first of all, I was able to find frozen sweet potate fries (Brand - Alexia at my local grocery store which made this recipe even easier! Second of all, it was extremely yummy! I'm not a usual person who puts mayo on my fries, but now I am happy too! I served it with pecan-crusted pork chops. My husband said it this one was definetly a "keeper". Try it ... you'll like it!

I have made these several times now, and while the taste has been SUPERB and has never disappointed, I have found the "fries" to be rather soggy. Then, today, I saw Ingrid Hoffman prepare another VERY SIMILAR recipe....problem solved! I placed the "fries" on the lowest rack first (for 20 minutes, then placed them on the highest rack for another 20-25 minutes, and lo and behold: CRISPY SWEET POTATO FRIES!!! YAY!! The basil salt adds another dimension, and the garlic mayonnaise is to die for!! These will be on my Super Bowl party menu for sure!! Thanks Giada!!!

I had some Yams (white in color and sweet Potatoes (orange cooked both of them. the white yams were crispy compared to the sweet potatoes, but we really enjoyed the flavor of the sweet potatoes best. I didn't cut them big enough so they didn't take long to cook. Also, in the sauce I put the garlic in a press and used 3 to 4 cloves and mixed in the chopped the fresh basil also it was very good.

My husband and I made these and they are so good! I actually cooked them a little longer, looking for the "crispiness" that some reviews said they achieved. Mine turned out more like steak fries but still good. The best of them were those that burnt a little and developed a nice caramelized coating on the bottom.

OK, so my very finicky 7-year-old daughter didn't like them but...my 11-year-old thought they "tasted like a restaurant made them."

    I will definitely make again!

i make these all the time. mI had never even eaten a sweet potato before I tried these. You have to tweek it to get them perfeftly crispy. the trick is to have just the right amount of olive oil. it will not be the same everytime. i have made these probably 40 times in the past year and they are different every time. Sometimes they come out PERFECTLY but others they are a little soft in the middle, but still delicious. I cut my fries a little thinner then Giada did too, just to speed up the crispiness. Also, I tried to make these for some co workers on an out of town trip, and having a gas oven at home, the electric oven really threw me for a loop, and I totally burnt them terribly. Believe it or not, the cookie sheet was clean in about 15 miuntes. Everyone still loved them, even burnt! Best recipe EVER~ and healthy too.
