Made this bread a couple weekends ago and it was really good. Tasted like all the other date nut breads that I've had. The only thing was that when I made it, it was a bit tough and dry. I'll have to add more of something next time. But other than that, I loved it

This recipe is good, but a bit dry for my taste. I doubled the butter (hey,I only make this at Christmas!, and used Triple Sec (Grand Marnier is good, but I preferred the less bitter/less intense-and more budget friendly-triple sec.I also found that a vanilla cream cheese schmear went a bit better with it. This bread has an intense orange flavor and orange-laced cream cheese was just a bit too much. With my tweaking, this date nut bread is THE bomb!!!

This recipe is just perfect. Dense, moist and chewy with lots of spicy warm flavor with a fruity orange taste. I will make this again and again!

Absolutely terrific! I follow the recipe with the exception of using Grand Mariner instead of Cointreau or Triple Sec. This is a wonderful breakfast treat with butter (or equivalent in place of the cream cheese spread. As previous reviewers have stated, it does have a definite orange flavor.

If you like orange tasting things, this would be the recipie for you. I imagine that this recipe is great! However, I think I made it wrong. It turned out dry. Granted, this is the first time I've baked in over two years, so I am a little rusty. If any one has any tips on how not to make your bread dry, I'm willing hear them!

The flavor is good with all the spices, but this bread is too dry.

Wow, what a great recipe. Made it but didnt have orange liqueur so soaked the dates for a couple of hours in the orange juice and 1/2 cup Amaretto liqueur. It was not too bready not too sweet, great to have with tea. I live by the sea so baked for 50 minutes. Will definitely make this again and again!

The orange flavor was too dominant, so that is all I could taste. The texture was good, but I would have liked to have tasted the dates.
