If you make this recipe as is you will have a very salty pot full of mush! Yuck! First of all the soy sauce, House seasoning and then MORE salt is way too much. Plus you don't need an additional 30 min of cook time after you put in the macaroni, 10 min will do it. And take out at least half the salt. I think the recipe should read teaspoons and not tablespoons. I might try it again with some major modifications.

Bobby Deen...OH HOW I LOVE YOU!! and your mama and Jamie too! : Been a huge fan for many many years!!! I saw you make this on TV the other day and came on this site to find the recipe! My family were non-believers when I told them about it! But I won them all over at the table last night and then we ate the leftovers again today for lunch. I was afraid all that liquid would make it soupy but the noodles soaked it right up! YUMMMMMM! thanks! Looking forward to your new show!

Outstanding recipe. My son requested this for his birthday dinner and I had never made it before. It came out perfect and I already have requests to make it again!

Great. Had to change it a little though. Couldn't do that much onion so took that done to only half of one and use 3lbs of meat instead of 2. Same with the noodles. Other than that everything was the same and delicious.

Love it! It makes a lot more than 6 servings, more like 10. But that's okay, everybody will want seconds.

Love this recipe, I also add corn which makes it even better and top it with sour cream.

Easy and delicious... taste just like my mom used to make! Haven't had Goulash in probably 20 years or so, don't know why it popped into my head but i'm glad it did. I followed the recipe almost exact, however I subed a couple teaspoons of Franks Red Hot for the soy sauce, and added 1/2 - 3/4 cups more elbows and left out the bay leaves. Make it tonight!

This recipe is similar to my Grandmother's "American chop suey" and I loved it! Mine was a bit too watery but that's my fault. I put too much in and cooked the pasta way too long. I didn't have tomato sauce- just the canned tomatoes but it didn't mess the flavor up! Very nice flavor! My husband enjoyed it also! We'll definitely make this again! :

This was my first time making goulash. I wanted a recipe I could make with ground meat in my new Dutch oven and I remembered watching this dish on tv from awhile ago. I made it exactly as written with a few substitutions because I didn't have any in stock: jarred marinara sauce(spicy arrabbiata to be exact for the 2 cans of tomato sauce and 2 cups rotini broken in half or smaller pieces to resemble the elbow macaroni. It turned out great. It was delicious! The only thing I would say is the noodles were a bit soft but that's probably because of my substitution but even then it was still delicious! Thanks bobby

This recipe reminded me most of what my mother made us when we were kids (in the 60's. It was very tasty. I will make it again. Thanks, as always!
