Great recipe....crispy and flaky but I think it may be better to substitute peanut oil to achieve a browner crust.

This recipe was good but it had wayyyy too much salt. I would only add 1 tsp, not 3. Salt should be used to enhance flavours, it shouldn't over power the recipe which it did in this case. Other than that it was a terrific dinner!

Delicious! I don't have a deep fryer but pan frying worked great. They freeze and re-heat in the oven very nicely as well. I pull them out when I do frozen fish sticks for the kids -- then I don't have to make a second gluten-free meal for myself. The only draw-back was that it took a week to get the fried fish stink out of my house :

Perfect! The KEY is to put the precooked fries in the bottom of the deep fryer. That keeps the fish elevated so that the batter doesn't stick to the deep fryer basket (trust me - first two pieces of fish I did without the fries underneath, and the fish batter got stuck to the basket and then the fish partly fell apart -- but were still delicious. From what I read, no one else has mentioned this as the key part to the success of the recipe. Yes- get the rice flour!

We made these for the first time on the night of the London Opening Ceremonies. It was so great that it's becoming more common in our house! We cook these outside in our Fry Daddy but they come out so amazing! My mom loves fish and chips and said these were the best she ever had!

This receipe was out right fantastic! My mom is gluten free and she loved it! We were thinking what else will pair great with this batter....chicken tenders, shrimp, onions rings, etc. This was the perfect meal to kick off Lent!

This is the best fish and chips recipe ever. Being gluten free, I thought I'd never have fish and chips again. Even better, if there are any left overs, the fish crisps right back up in the oven the next day. Another home run, Tyler.

Great batter recipe - the rice flour really makes it light and very authentic tasting. I was hesitant about the amount of salt in the batter - but it seasoned the fish nicely. I used it to fry some pickles as well and they came out quite nicely. Thanks Tyler!
