My wife and I tried this recipe tonight. It was excellent! This one definitely goes in the tried and true book.

First his name is Tyler NOT Taylor! Get it right if you want to critic someone! Maybe we should call you Paul instead! And secondly, he's a chef...you're just a lowly cook. What you think doesn't really matter because he knows what he's doing!!! Tyler's food is great, don't listen to idiots that don't know what they are talking about!

You guys are so great. I love that you jumped on Shaul as being the Food Police. That person needs to go somewhere else. There is no reason to make comments like that. This is a great recipe for a nice occasion or when you have friends over. Get over it. Plus, the one star because he/she thinks it's too many calories ruins the overall rating. It's just not right. Enjoy, is what I say. Yummmmm!

I have made this Tyler's way, and then tweaked it a bit. The first time I made it I wasn't able to get the espresso beans totally strained out and had bits in the finished desert. My boyfriend didn't mind them, but I don't like the grounds. In my tweaked version, I used a couple tablespoons of International Foods "Mayan Dark Chocolate" instant coffee mix and skipped the orange peel . OMG! It was incredible. Thanks Tyler!!

I really enjoyed the simplicity of making this recipe. It tasted delicious. If I make it again, I would not do the cocoa whipped cream and just use regular whipped cream. There was something about the fruity, coffee flavor of the panna cotta that didn't jive with the cocoa whipped cream. All in all, it was yummy!

THIS IS A GREAT COMPANY OR SPECIAL SPLURGE DISH. I SERVE IT WITH WHIPPED CREAM LACED WITH A SLUG OF FRANGELICO OR AMARETTO.
I ALSO USE INSTANT ESPRESSO.
IF YOU WANT TO BE THE FOOD POLICE, GO BUY A UNIFORM AND GET A
BADGE. ANYTHING CAN BE BAD FOR YOU. USING A BIT OF MODERATION
ALOWS YOU TO ENJOY ALL THINGS IN THEIR TIME.

Please, everybody. Rate the dish, don't rate the host or an ingredient list. I don't cook every dish from every episode, but only comment on those I do cook. This panna cotta was delish. I used instant espresso powder, since I don't buy coffe for myself and it worked well. I overreacted and added another 1/2 t. of gelatin based on the comments, but will go back to the recipe amount next time since mine set up pretty firmly. The flavor was rich and satisfying. Thanks.
