These are very good but are excellent with the added ingredients as I thought they did not have much flavor. I added 2 extra teaspoon of cumin 1 tablespoon of chili powder 1/2 to 3/4 cup of salsa and 4oz of shredded cheese. This took them over the top.

I just made the taquitos and they were delicious... I make my own quacamole : We live in San Diego and have lots of delicious Mexican food places right by us... these were just as good if not better!

Oh my gosh, this was delish! Made it twice, the first time without Tequila (didn't want to by a whole bottle for just one recipe, Johnny Walker is my thing, LOL! Both times it was fantastic! No can beato this flavor, unless Guy came and cooked it himself! Thanks Guy!

I love taquitos! The recipe looks delicious and can't wait to try it. Another way of getting your corn tortillas pliable is to dip them in hot oil. Not for long, though. Coat one side and then flip and coat the other side.

I have made many of Guy's recipes with huge success, but for some reason my hubby and I both agreed that these taquito's didn't have any flavor to use. I don't know if it was me and I underseasoned the chicken or what, but after all that work of prepping, I was expecting something really special. Since I know that Guy's recipes have always worked for me, I am just going to assume it was something that I did, but I found these terribly time consuming. I have tried much easier recipes with a whole lot more bang. I just can't see how all these wonderful ingredients would not have produced a wonderful flavored taquito. I absolutely love taquito's and eat them all the time which are easy to find living in L.A. I'm going to make his jambalaya sandwich which is incredible or as he would say it is "MONEY!"

My husband and I love this recipe and you can't beat the flavor! However...it takes FOREVER to make!! And at times it does run on the so-frustrating-you-want-to-rip-your-hair-out line. So worth the trouble! We make it again and again...as soon as the delicious taquitos touch our lips we forget all about the sweat (and tears that we put in to it! I also make a veggie version by separating the potato/onion/pepper mixture; and we like to add some cheese to the inside of the taquito as well as sprinkling it on the outside.
