Super easy to make. Doubled the recipe to make two cheesecakes to bring to both sides of the family for Christmas holiday dinners. The dessert was a huge hit at both dinners. I used Nabisco chocolate wafers for the crust which gave it a very Oreo like flavor. The cheesecake was creamy, dense with very intense chocolate flavor. The topping came out a little on the neon green side, so next time I'll back off a little on the food coloring. Definitely a keeper.

Terrible mint layer. It didn't set, it tasted like toothpaste and had the consistency of toothpaste. The crust and cheesecake layer were good, however the top layer ruined the whole dish.

This Cheesecake came out delicious and was not expensive money or time wise. I could only find chocolate dipped chocolate wafers, but the crust turned out fine regardless. I substituted splenda for sugar since that's all I had, and no one seemed to notice at all! I think this recipe is wonderful.

I used 20 Girl Scout thin mint cookies for my crust and left out the additional sugar that was called for. I used a light sour cream and Neufchatel (light cream cheese and semi-sweet chocolate chips. I had to cook the cake for an extra 10 min. to get it to set. Unfortunately I did not have an 8 in. square metal pan so I used a round 9 in. metal pan. My cake completely filled the pan and I didn't use all of the mint topping for fear that it would run over the sides. For the mint topping, I could only find the green creme de menthe and left out the food coloring as it was already a pretty green. This was an expensive cake to make but it turned out wonderfully. He said it was the best homemade cheesecake he'd ever had. It is very rich and the flavors were great together. I think it tastes even better the next day. The steps were easy to do, just a lot of them. If you want something out of the ordinary -- this is it.

I've been making cheesecakes for awhile, nothing too out of the ordinary with this one. The cheesecake set really well and the flavor was awesome. Love the Mint topping...but...it didn't set right at all. In the picture it is a very whipped and fluffy consistency, where mine was running. While the flavor was great, it was very pretty, not sure what I did wrong. I'll definitely try it again, this time skipping the green coloring, it was just too much.

I made this tonight and it was just really bad. My father in law, who normally LOVES all desserts, took one bite and could barely finish it. Maybe a mint chocolate cheesecake was a bad idea for our taste buds?

What a lot of time and money for something that didn't taste very special!
