Wonderful soup with a nice balance of flavors. It took me a bit longer to prepare but it was so worth it! Will definitely make it again.

Best potato leek soup I've ever made, and I've been through many other recipes. I ate three bowls in one sitting. The leek flavor comes though clearly, and it's delicious. I halved the recipe, and it made 8 generous servings.

Very tasty! Next time I will use a little less of the ruex and leave a few chunks of potato and leek, but the taste was great!!

It was ok. I think it could use a little more flavor. I should have went with my instinct and used half of the roux. I didn't even have to thicken it after blending because it was thick already.

I am a recent convert to the vegetarian lifestyle and this was a delicious soup. I made a few tweeks, however, with the chicken broth and it turned out just fine.

This is wonderful! I made a few changes. I cut 5 pieces of bacon into lardons and fry until crisp in my Dutch oven before I begin. These are reserved for garnish with cheddar chees at the end. I saute the onion elements in the bacon fat to soften and then proceed as the recipe indicates. This is so good that I am making a batch for my husband before I leave for 10 days. It will freeze in storage bags and he will be set for suppers!

Perfect balance of flavors yet it is delicate! This is better than the potato leek soup that I have had in restaurants. Best potato soup recipe that I have ever tried! I am serving this at my next dinner party.
