Have used both cayenne and chipolte chile pepper powder (McCormick for heat and subtle smokiness. Both work great--a beautiful recipe.

I made these as a last minute addition to a cocktail themed gift basket for a friends housewarming party. They were super easy to make and completely delicious!!! As other reviewers mentioned, they are very difficult to resist eating so I made 2 batches! Will definitely be making these for future gifts and parties.

I've been wanting to try this since seeing it on The Food Network, and I am not disappoint. A great combination of sweet and spicy. I went lighter on the salt, but I should have used what the recipe called for.

Being somewhat adventurous, I will try some variations. I wonder if Worcestershire sauce would give it a kick?

The last sentence in the recipe states.... Once you eat these you won't stop.... SO TRUE! Wonderfully different flavor and so simple to make! Perfect gift!

These are the best nuts ever. Salty, sugary, spicy all in one bite. One stop shopping if you ask me. The rosemary adds a nice touch as well. I used less because I used dried rosemary. But it still turned out great. I also had to use some more butter than it called for. I served them at a party and it got rave reviews! So making these again soon.

Amazing, addictive snack! The mix of spices, herbs, and sugar hits all the right notes!

Well I don't know what i'm doing wrong - I've made this three times and each time it comes out goopy and more like caramel-coated nuts. It just doesn't coat the nuts well.

Delicious! We ate handfuls straight out of the oven as soon as they were tossed. I mixed the melted butter and seasonings in the bottom of a large wide stainless steel bowl set on low heat while the nuts roasted, and that kept everything hot and easy to mix. I used raw unsalted nuts because I thought a second roasting might be too much, but this is not true and will start with roasted nuts next time! I scraped the fresh rosemary leaves off the sprigs and did not chop them before measuring 2 level tsp. 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper was not too hot for our taste, and we normally don't like hot pepper. Will definitely make again!

Also: As another reviewer stated, 2 1/4 cups of mixed nuts is NOT 18 oz. My 16 oz. bag was almost 3 cups.
