This is a great and easy pan sauce. It says to strain it at the end though. I never strain it because I like some juices on my plate to sop up with my steak. I have used beef broth and stock and don't think it makes a huge difference, so whatever I have on hand I use. I use this one again and again.

This was too runny and not enough flavor. I thought that it could have used a little cornstarch or flour to thicken the sauce up.

This was very good. I didn't think that it had enough Marsala flavor, so I added a little more and it was great. Like others have said, it was a thin sauce, but I thought it was delicious and I will definitely make it again.

I served this last night for dinner. Sunday night is our night to cook something special and this was the hit of the year. Everyone at the table loved it. All you heard were moans of delight with every bite. I highly recommend this recipe.

Just made this sauce for sirloin steak dinner- everyone LOVED it, it was pretty easy to do, and it was incredibly tasty. It isn't a real thick sauce, like at some restaurants the marsala sauce is very thick, but it more than made up for it with flavor. I had a hard time finding a real bottle of marsala wine, but finally did in a local grocery store. (Yay! Publix! Do not use the "marsala cooking wine" you find in the vinegar section, it simply will not do justice to this recipe. Hunt down a bottle of wine, and enjoy! ( I also used 1 tsp. dried Thyme, because I didn't have fresh.

I prepared this dish for my family, and they deemed it on par with what you would receive at a steakhouse. Robert's sauce strikes all of the right cords; thick consistency and tangy without disguising the flavor of the meat itself. And as an added bonus, it is a fairly simple meal to prepare for inexperienced cooks such as myself. What more can you ask for? :

This was the best steak sauce I have ever tasted. My husband put his own seasonings on the steak and we poured this over them. I will never fix steak w/o this again.

This sauce was the best I've tasted and certainly the best for me so far for sirloin.

This recipe is in my personal book of recipes and I just about have it memorized.

This looked so unappetizing on Dinner Impossible, given the horrible pieces of meat that were given to Robert. But I needed a quick sauce to complement some sirloin so I tried it. Wonderful sauce. I cut the (medium raresirloin across the grain and fanned it out on the serving dish and poured the sauce over it. Mmmmmm. Mushrooms, thyme and Marsala compliment the meat so well!
