I made these cookies 100% as per recipe and they were perfect! Not sure why so many reviews state that the recipe needs to be corrected by Paula or even altered for that matter. The cookies are not too moist, not too dry, just the right amount of sweetness and the texture is fabulous. And soooo easy to make! I have even made them with milk chocolate instead of white.....yummy!

I just finished baking these cookies, after reading several of the comments. So I added an extra egg and 1/4 cup of white sugar. The best cookie I have ever baked. Thanks, Paula.

I've made these cookies several times. I work as a secretary in a Public school. So to show my Teachers how much I appreciate them, I bake cookies. This is the favorite cookie! They ask me all the time "When are you going to bring more of those cookies"! Way to go Miss Paula. I give them an A+!

The first time I made these cookies was a disaster; they were too dry and crumbled easily. However, I tried it a second time and used one more egg and less baking soda, and oh my goodness, they were fabulous! These cookies reminded me a little of the traditional Greek wedding cookies, expect these were tastier! My mother now bakes these instead of her traditional cookies! Thank you Paula!

I had read many of the reviews that said that the cookies were not sweet enough for them. After having my friend taste the cookies, I don't prefer coconut, she said that they were sweet enough for her. I wonder if those who said they weren't sweet were using unsweetened coconut, I used sweetened coconut flakes, I know the recipe doesn't specify but this might be the reason for the lack of sweetness. If you only have unsweetened coconut, you can soak it in sugar water to make it sweet. The cookies were more ball like then flat like the picture, and were crumbly and brittle.

I made these cookies yesterday. I read the reviews before making them. A lot of the reviews said the cookies wasn't very sweet and that is was dry. Many people suggested adding an extra egg and 1/2 cup sugar. I mixed all the ingredients and right away I could tell it was dry. I tasted the batter and it was bland. I added an extra egg, 1/2 cup of sugars, and 2/3 cup of white chocolate. The cookies came out great. I like my cookies soft, so I baked them for eight minutes instead of ten. Good luck, enjoy!

I saw this recipe here, but I used the recipe from PaulaDeen.com. I brought the cookies to a 4th of July BBQ and they were gone in 10 minutes--everyone loves them--even people who didn't like coconut.

My daughter made these cookoes and I took them to work, they were a hit, they were telling me best cookies they ever had. Not to sweet, but the white chocolate made the cookie.

I had already made these cookies when I read through most of the reviews. Most of them are WAY off. These were just sweet enough and my family LOVED them. Not really moist, but with the white chocolate, just the right balance. Will definitely make them again!
